Rooted Garden Club

Sign up for our 2025 community garden club! We will be learning how to garden all over town. Starting on May 12th, from 4pm-6pm, with four weeks at The Pocket Park in Down Town Iron River. We will continue to garden at Taproot Community Farm and other exciting locations in Iron River, Michigan.

 The Rooted Garden Club is for ages 5-105! All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Mondays starting May 12th from 4-6pm. Ending August 25th with a celebration harvest party.

Wild Flower Seed Planting

Fall is the perfect time to plant wild flowers. Help Taproot plant a huge swath of them by our front drive. Community members please bring rakes and gloves. Participants will take home wild flower seeds to plant in their own yard.

Candlelight snowshoe

Come join us for an evening of winter fun! A fantastic event for snowshoers of all ages and skills - bring the kids, the family, or come with your friends! Arrive anytime between 3pm and 8pm. It's best if you arrive after dark to enjoy the luminaria.

​There is no cost for this event; however, donations will be accepted.  Don't have snowshoes? Not a problem! Snowshoes will be available to borrow free of charge courtesy of Into the Wild Bike Shop and Iron Endurance.  We will have a fire, hot cocoa, and soup to keep you warm.
